• Proud father of 4, about to be 5, children under the age of 8.

• 4x Ironman (including Kona finisher), 3x Team USA athlete, and 2x Ironman 70.3 Worlds qualifier 

• Proud winner of Kona Inspired contest; was 1 of 6 athletes selected through nationwide voting to compete at Kona

• Severely burned at the age of 8, endured over 35 surgeries the past 31 years and still can't sweat over 1/3 of his body.  Was  told at the age of 8 he would never be competitive in sports again due to burns and burn related scarring over 65% of his body, Shay went on to become a high school All American wrestler, 3x boxing champion in college and a nationally ranked Triathlete

•  Shay works in the healthcare industry as VP for client services for a Revenue Cycle firm in Nashville, TN.
