I relocated my wife of 17 years, two daughters, and dog to Colorado last year after spending the previous 8 in Tampa, FL.  Training at anything above sea level has definitely been a change and I am enjoying every part of it.  

 

Having a family of competitive athletes (runner, gymnast, swimmer & triathlete) I needed to find something to keep up with them. So, after years of only running and all the injuries that came along with it,  I made a move into triathlons (thanks to my youngest daughter and triathlete herself) to switch things up.  I am now a Level 1 certified coach, and aside from focusing on the half iron distance I completed my first full in 2013 at Ironman Florida and am getting ready for #2 at the inaugural Ironman Boulder.  

 

It's my drive for a competitive challenge and the support from my family and friends that keep me going through all the morning hours of training right through the finishers chute....couldn’t do it without them!
