​John Snyder

John Snyder lives in Leawood, Kansas (a suburb of Kansas City) and is married with 3 daughters (ages 14, 17 and 22).  He  is a commercial real estate and finance attorney and manages the Kansas City office of the Dentons law firm (www.dentons.com).

 

John is active in the KC business and civic community and is currently President of the Kansas City chapter of the National MS Society.  With a lifelong running background,  John started competing in triathlons at age 40 as a healthy mid-life crisis (wife Diane would not permit a motorcycle or red sports car).  

 

John has now competed in over 25 triathlons, including 9 half and 3 full Ironman events.  John's athletic peak in 2013 was breaking 3 hours in the Boston marathon at age 44 (wearing Newtons, of course).  John looks forward to racing for Ironman Foundation Newton Running Ambassador Triathlon Team in 2014 and to giving back to the community through the sport of triathlon.
