My journey to triathlon started on the bench.  I had spent most of my early life believing that I could never be a star athlete and yet I set the world record as the youngest person to row across the Atlantic solo. No motor, no sail, no follow boat!   I also cycled across America, ran across a couple deserts and became the first person to swim the 325-mile Allegheny River.

While those things are cool, what makes endurance challenges much more meaningful to me is the ability to stand behind something I believe in along the way. Through my athletic events I have raised more than $250,000 for safe drinking water projects around the world. My goal is to raise even more as part of Ironman Wisconsin.
